| Our first stop in Sturbridge, MA for refreshments for the trip. |

This is Libby’s
Market in Brunswick, ME. They have wonderful lobster roll. The owner is a
lobsterman so the catch is fresh. | We arrived in Oakland, ME at 3:30 p.m. Gary met
us and we were off on a tour of Snow Pond.
Gary runs Snow Pond Cruises and offers a great history lesson of the lake
area. (Messalonskee Lake, the real name of Snow Pond). Gary had a notebook of
pictures relating to the stories he so eloquently told of the lake inhabitants
and its history of years ago.
|
| During the tour Gary was able to get the boat very close to a mother Loon and her new chick. |
| A young eagle in the top right side of a pine tree. |
| It was a most enjoyable cruise. |

After dinner we sat out by the lake and enjoyed the mild and
calm weather.
